How My Molecule collects consent for appointment text messages, what we send, and how to stop. Last updated August 31, 2026.
My Molecule is an appointment-scheduling platform operated by Molecule Work LLC. Independent businesses — barbershops, salons and similar service providers — use My Molecule to manage their bookings.
Appointment text messages are sent by Molecule Work LLC from a phone number that Molecule Work LLC owns and operates. The message content is composed by our system, not by the individual business, and every message identifies the business you booked with so you always know who is contacting you. Businesses using My Molecule cannot send arbitrary messages from this number.
You opt in at checkout, when you book an appointment on a business’s booking page. You enter your phone number and check the consent box before you submit the booking. The consent box reads:
You are subscribing to My Molecule for appointment text messages: booking confirmations, reminders, and schedule updates. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. View our Terms of Service (https://mymolecule.ai/terms) and Privacy Policy (https://mymolecule.ai/privacy).
Checking the box and submitting the booking completes your opt-in. We never purchase, rent or import phone numbers, and no number is added by anyone other than the person who owns it, at the moment they book.
Messages on this program relate to appointments you booked. They include:
Message frequency varies and depends on the appointments you book. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Your opt-out is honoured by both the mobile carrier and our own records, and takes effect without any further action from you.
If you change your mind, reply START or UNSTOP to resume messages.
Reply HELP for program and contact information, or email us at [email protected].
Opting out of text messages does not cancel your appointment, and does not stop appointment emails if you gave us an email address.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
